6 “Must Have” Fall Fashion Trends for 2009

By: Pianca Pink.

As the world continues to slowly pull together from our recession woes, fashion fall is always something good to look forward to. Let’s make sure we get our budgets right, because this season everything is about texture and the rebellious side of glamor. In the words of Zoe “we die!” lol

Over the Knee/ Thigh-Hi Boots

Over-the-knee boots are the must-have item for Fall 2010; but those daring enough will find the tops of their boots creeping up even higher with thigh-high boots also making it mainstream.

The Boyfriend Blazer

This has to be one of the easiest and most comfortable trends for fall. Boyfriend blazers — much like the jeans — are roomy, lived in and flattering, as if you borrowed them from one of the men in your life.

Leather & Lace

I love that this leather trend is extending far beyond just jackets and into pretty much every other type of clothing, that  we’ll be wearing in leather in 2009 – 2010. Leather shorts, leather dresses, leather leggings… and more. So sexy, so dark… Now, with lace at times it can only has to takes a hint of the delicate fabric to turn a dull look into something seductive and utterly feminine.

Brass buttons, double breasted jackets and laced up boots will all be getting the 21-gun salute this fall!

Ripped Denim

This trend takes me back to when I was a sissor — happy teen customizing all my dogged clothings. lol Ripped denim hasn’t really been big since the grunge days of the 90s… so it may come as a surprise that it is back and with a vengeance.

See more after the jump…

Loving This Old/New Dr. Marten Fad for Fab…

By: Pianca Pink.

Dr. Martens are back, baby!

These shoes were created in 1945 by Doctor Klaus Marten for comfortable wear. I had like 2 of them as a teenager in the early 90’s. They’re not the prettiest shoes you have ever seen, but in the 90s, people only cared about comfort. Shirts were baggy, jeans were comfortable and shoe’s were just meant to be thrown on– Ahhh, the years… Where did they go? lol- Now that I mention it, I could really use a pair of black paten, Doc Martens right about now! : )
