So, no, they’re not cheap. But the holi­days are indeed rolling around soon. So add some to your wish list.

Alexander McQueen Shoes S/S ’10

While I was home on Fri­day night watching TV, I came across the McQueen run­way show on the Fashion Net­work.  The first thing I noti­ced were these enor­mous shoes and I couldn’t help but won­der  if they weighed more than the models LOL! I’m not sure how I feel about them.… I think they are beau­ti­ful from the front but the side view is breath taking (in a semi bad way).  I’m sure they will hit edi­to­rials but I’m curious to see if any women will be brave enough to take ‘em to the streets! These may require extra ankle insurance!

Amber Rose has so much star power but she is lac­king lus­ter in these pho­tos.  I am disap­poin­ted at the way Kanye sty­led this shoot.  Why didn’t someone inter­vene?! This is Elle maga­zine we are tal­king about, it was the per­fect oppor­tu­nity for Amber to show­case her­self as a CLASSY woman.  Yes, she is sexy. Yes, she is known for her body and killer face.. but damn, there are so many facets to BEAUTY.. they could have taken a bet­ter route.

I’m going to be opti­mis­tic and PRAY for some impro­ve­ment with her next shoot.  FORD MODELS, get this chik in check ASAP!

I abso­lu­tely fell in utter ama­ze­ment this past wee­kend, over Chris­tian Siriano’s fabu­lous spring 2010 collec­tion. What I found the most odd was his collec­tion offi­cially being sla­ted as “Pay­less at Chris­tian Siriano,” which intri­gued me because of course the models weren’t wea­ring Pay­less shoes on the run­way, so after two clicks I ended up on Pay​less​.com and was floo­red at some of my favo­rite desig­ners that have their own sig­na­ture pay­less collec­tions already on the shelf. Fashion’s Night Out: Paper Mag Party @ Intermix Soho W/ Anna Wintour and Sienna Miller

The vibe at the Paper Mag party in the Inter­mix Soho store was ama­zing.  They had a live art com­pe­ti­tion with 2 artist hand pain­ting man­ne­quins in the win­dow of the store, a Patron open bar, good music, and beau­ti­ful peo­ple.  Most memo­ra­ble spe­cial guest appea­ran­ces inc­lu­ded Rihanna, Sienna Miller, and the one and only Anna Wintour.

Note to MTV: Cut Liquor Out of the Budget Next Year!

Sooooooo.…wow what a show! And MTV didn’t even plan out the best parts! LOL The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards took place in my home­town, New York City in the famous Radio City Music Hall!

Let’s com­mence with the objec­tive of all these spe­cial colla­bo­ra­tions. The Michael Jack­son Tri­bute! Did MTV triumph BET’s attempt? Most defi­ni­tely! Ope­ning the show — the Queen of Pop spoke on the King of Pop. Madonna sha­red with the world, her rela­tionship with MJ. Her heart felt words touched all of his fans and nothing less would’ve been appro­priate! Then dan­cers in cha­rac­ter colla­ded a homage to the King of Pop, to his grea­test hits and enters Janet Jack­son! She per­for­med the chart top­per Scream as the video pla­yed in the big screen, as if she were sin­ging it live with her brother. Truly dope, well pro­du­ced and Janet nai­led it. As a fan I com­mend her, no mat­ter how much time has pas­sed, it never gets easier!

Unfor­tu­na­tely, the Kanye West — Tay­lor Swift inci­dent rob­bed the tribute’s thun­der and is the most tal­ked moment on twit­ter. Tay­lor Swift won Best Female Video and Kanye took her mic expres­sing Beyonce’s — Sin­gle Ladies was the best video of the decade and she deser­ved to win that award, gave back the mic and wal­ked back to his seat to the boo’s of the crowd. Poor Tay­lor Swift left speech­less and depres­sed. I mean it was her first VMA award…damn ‘Ye — you couldn’t let her shine? It’s not always about u homie!

Shortly after, Kanye ended up at home wri­ting this apo­logy to Tay­lor Swift on is blog… SMH @ you Yeezy!

“I’M SOOOOO SORRY TO TAYLOR SWIFT AND HER FANS AND HER MOM. I SPOKE TO HER MOTHER RIGHT AFTER AND SHE SAID THE SAME THING MY MOTHER WOULD’VE SAID. SHE IS VERY TALENTED! I LIKE THE LYRICS ABOUT BEING A CHEERLEADER AND SHE’S IN THE BLEACHERS! …………………… I’M IN THE WRONG FOR GOING ON STAGE AND TAKING AWAY FROM HER MOMENT!…………….. Moving on to this pic­ture, it looks like Kanye got too Henny happy and soon after the inci­dent he and his date were escor­ted out…smh! Blame it on the Henny I guess, Amber Rose keep an eye on your man!
